Would someone explain to me, please, why Rickmansworth High Street has such a dire collection of shops?
Why are there so many charity shops on such a relatively small high street? Do we need quite so many opticians? Why does the high street cater, in the main, to the pensioner or the unemployed but not to the 20-40 year old working professional who actually has money to spend but choose to spend it elsewhere? Is it because the age of the council members?
Why do we not have more quality restaurants and clothes shops? It's unbelievable that on Church street there are now three Italian restaurants practically next door to each other, all of dubious quality. Why can't we have more places like Cinnamon Square; You know when "Wensels" arrives the place is going downhill fast!
